Inspiration
As another source for inspiration, I'm sharing one of my favorite resources—a Pinterest collection of historical reliquaries, icons, shrines, and sacred containers from many different cultures and traditions.
These aren't examples to copy. Instead, they invite us to notice recurring ideas: protective enclosures, symbolic colors, treasured objects, tiny compartments, gilded surfaces, and the universal human desire to preserve what we value.
As you browse these images, pay attention to what draws your eye. Is it the craftsmanship? The quiet simplicity? The richness of texture? The way an ordinary object becomes extraordinary because of the care with which it is presented?
